OK, assuming that prem continues with his "perfect master never dies" succession theme, who is your vote for the next one?
Years ago I would have said one of his daughters or charnanand, but these days I just don't know….
It's not easy being a perfect master/inspirational speaker these days, with all the competition out there…
Maybe prem should take a market survey from the premies….I just don't know…..
In the meantime, who's your favorite?

I think the ji is too much of a sexist to pick one of his daughters, Maybe there is a grand-kid around they can trump up into the next guru. What is the current status of Hans and Amar? Drugs, rebellion etc?

There's going to be various camps with various viewpoints.  Some will say that so-and-so had a vision where Sant Ji himself came and told him it was (fill_in_the_blank) who shall succeed the greatest SatGuru ever.

Anyway, that and legal battles, too.

The interested parties list remains a mystery to me.

I really hope he dies before I do, not statistically likely I admit, but we live in hope after all, just so I can sit back & watch the show. It would be nice if the Corleone boys, just in the interest of introducing fresh blood into the line now grown a bit stale, could come up with a new infant with the right birth certificate to mount a challenge. It wouldn't be beyond those creative criminal minds.

No-one gets away without paying the pizzo, & Christ & His Angels only know what the rate is for allowing unhindered private plane landings at Palermo airport, followed by being allowed to parade around town pretending to be....whatever the fuck it was. Oh yes, there's a price for that.

The thought of a human being actually seeking or excepting such a role turns my stomach.  And if it doesn't unfold as a wittingly dark plot, then I would hope that any person hearing a "you are he" voice would have the moral integrity to immediately seek help.  I can't envision a transition without dark corruption or insanity.

I think Karen is on to something - a grandchild, could be the new 'golden child'.  more acceptable to the old-timers and might bring in a new audience.

If Rawat retires then I think it would be the end but if he dies then it's an inheritance fight and that includes a fight for control of the family business.

It's an interesting question considering the cult is already all but faded away.  After I posted, I thought that it depends on which cult continues, the secretly practiced LOTU version we escaped from or the newer and equally insidious "perpetual Prem" business-like gambits, the infiltration of prisons, educational and other institutions under the guise of some learning curriculum -- too many acronyms for these types of things to remember.  The LOTU version needs a golden grandchild with magical grace and the perp Prem version needs slick inner circle types in suits to give it some sort of image.

But... since Prem Rawat stated unequivocally that the Knowledge techniques are useless and don't do anything at all without his grace, I suppose a golden grandchild is in order... for two reasons: to provide the necessary "grace" and to keep the money in the family.

Really I'm just rambling as an excuse to say hello!

But now I'm thinking about it, I can imagine Daya dressed in blue and playing the Mata Ji from hell with an infant baby Maharaji.  Darshan lines for the baby.

I guess they'd be wanting to hold onto the old premies with their potential for inheritances.

That'll be the bleeping day when I kiss Daya's bleeping feet like I did Mata Ji's my first go around in that bleeping line!

Dang, Lesley.  There you go again... picking up right where you left off (or kept on while I was away)!

Thanks for the laugh and sorry about the bleeps.  (I'm sure Daya would understand.)

As I recall, one reason your remark was so funny was because some innocent poster asked "What is charanamrit?"

As timeless and stunningly accurately and funny as your answer was, you have to admit... they really teed it up for you!!

I feel a deep bond with ex-premies.  As I've moved on and engaged with the never affected, I'm constantly reminded that I can't undo my decades as a foot kisser and toe jam juice sipper, nor (in certain circumstances) can I tell my never affected acquaintances about my past.  It's just too extreme for their sensibilities and really nothing but risk to my new relationships -- still the same reason why so many premies live dishonest double lives and deceive the public -- and why this forum remains a special sanctuary.

Love to you as always.

Bob

Thank God I don't have to think about this now that I've switched over to Hanslok, the former Lord of Music.

Steve-once again you show great spiritual wisdom and maturity in expanding your team of gurus…4 is always better than one…and all those additional mata-ji's too!

Actually, I really can't imagine any american premie that I know following anyone after prem is gone….I think they all realize that the magic has been long gone, and also harbor doubts about the old claims that prem boasted of in the 70's….most of them stick around as a sort of "spiritual insurance" and ignore the hypocrisies around him…
I think when he goes, there may be some business level fighting that goes on, but I think most premies will grieve for awhile, and be glad they don't have to traipse all over the world following one of his kids or grandkids as the new "master" of some sort….
