thank you! this truly struck me:Since you were brought up in one how were you to know any different? Might be even harder than for a signed up cult member who at least knew life from before their cult involvement.
I still feel shock I was affected by the cult as I always knew it wasn't for me...yet I did not believe it was possible my father was actually in a cult even though I heard rumors, perhaps from my mother, or other family members (all not into the mirage or DLM)...I realize now had no idea that it was a cult! thus I WAS affected, I get this with shock and humility...thank you for your words here it helps it all sink in more deeply for clarity and freedom
