I've read a little further.  Here's an excerpt.
Morally Indiscriminate In the author's experience, this is a growing category of child molesters. For this individual, the sexual abuse of children is simply part of a general pattern of abuse in his life. He is a user and abuser of people. He abuses his wife, friends, co-workers. He lies, cheats, or steals whenever he thinks he can get away with it. .... Although his victims frequently are strangers or acquaintances, it is important for the investigator to realize that his victims can also be the offender's own children. The incestuous father or mother might be this morally indiscriminate offender."
There was another bit where he talks about couples, where the woman is involved too and this happening more than we imagine. It's heart wrenching.
