Oh dear, I was back out there getting a few more that's it though, the fruit bats get the rest, too high for me to pick. I reckon it's about 230, beautiful Kensington Pride Bowen mangoes. I've made chutney and mango kulfi in the past but that was before going through two failed crops in a row - I mean I just never come across such good mangoes, you can't buy anything like it and it's just such a good tree. 50 of the fruit this year came from a tree I grew from the seed of my first harvest and thought I just got to do something, the tree has such presence and now there is a young one in the front garden. So it's a prized fruit - all the neighbours like them too, so I pass them around a bit - eat fresh and the rest into the freezer - I just prep and bag them. It freezes very well and so nice to eat in the middle of Winter.
Amazing to find two rolls of money, wow!
