Back in the early 1990s I had a pretty good job as a contractor at a software house. I was trying to get an increase in my hourly rate and was on track to get it. However, still being a premie, I had mentioned that I followed Guru Maharaji to my onsite manager. Anyway, I never did get the rate increase and was told by my manager that he didn't authorize it because he figured that I'd just give the money to the Guru.
