I was getting comfort from this piece with regard to the current culture in the US, our politicians and media moguls behaving badly and all of their supporters...and all along the way something kept telling me to pass it on to my editor...I'd tell myself back, 'at least finish the article first and then decide if I should pass it on'...this kept happening, so I sent it to her before I even got to the end myself.

By the time I finished it, I heard back from her, and now I want to thank you Karen, on her behalf too!  Turns out, she knows Marc Gafni, was working with him on a book project as the allegations against him came out in the NY Times.  

She said thanks so much, that "this article was one of the more thoughtful analyses I've read of the situation.  It was one of the worst experiences of my life but I walked away with my integrity in tact and feeling very strong.  I smelled his shit right away, but it took a month for me to trust myself and step away.  I never finished the book and I definitely stand with his accusers."
