I have been talking to this person. He always knew he was gay, his first inklings coming around the age of 6 but he kept it secret til he was in his 40's. He describes himself as becoming highly narcissistic, and he was horrible to his wife in particular from the sound of it. But now that he has confessed and started dealing with the reality of himself, he is in recovery from the narcissism and really he does strike me as genuine in this. Very unusual. He reckons secrets are highly toxic, the worst for the person making them. To me that is a major corroboration when he is saying it - same view from both sides of the fence. It is not mentally ill to believe a person, it is damaging if they are deceptive about who they are tho. None of us want to trade places with Rawat, do we. The more it goes on - the premies on his 'he loves me, he loves me not' merry go round, the more ground they give to him of their own. |
