I stayed there once too. The ridiculous lengths we went to, as if he had anything to offer in reality from a semblance of closeness, which was never really close anyway. My poor kids waiting at home,no contact, no cell reception. Me with my head in the sand and my heart precariously in the hands of a total stranger who never even knew my name. Seriously, was I mentally ill? |
