A few years ago, Jon told me he was earning £8m a year. His income had been steadily dropping since then, but still, he 's earned many millions. Besides the cocaine in his body, his bank accounts were empty when he died, leaving wife and kids with nothing, not even a house. Even the caravan in the drive would have to go to clear debts.
I can't put a figure on how much Jon sent to Rawat. Quite a bit of his money went on 1st class flights, 5 star hotels and he had a few dependants and his own indulgences. However I'm pretty sure Jon's demise will have had a substantial effect on Rawat's income stream.
Having attended the funeral and having known all his kids, I can say he left quite a mess behind, a lot of anger and disappointment. He was no advert for Rawat despite his clearly and frequently stated devotion.
