Just before I left Lansing, Michigan for a vacancy in the Sewall Ave. ashram in Boston, after which I wouldn't see him for ten years, my father famously said: "Son, you're just whistling at the wind." Only later would I learn the hard way that he was right. My step mother, his wife, never forgave me for bringing her daughter to Knowledge. It didn't help when my other step sister, never to be outdone, got involved with a different guru. |
