"This Time I Come With More Power" Poster of 13 year old Guru Maharaj ji.

Kind of rinkled old poster of young guru maharaji with quote. Also some sort of halo that says something around his fat head. Check out the poster, do you think he had anything to do with the design? The quote used? The nebulous background with the airplane descending? Hmmm? No, not at all. THis was devised by loyal premies doing service to his majesty's royal high ass.

I wonder where the copyright writ is for his use of the image Rawat in full LOTU mode for his album cover!

Speaking of which; Devendra was named by 'LOTU' when it was all the rage in the 70s for premie parents to get their kids named# by him. I bet there are some pissed of kids out there. I remember one called Mahasamatman AKA Sam.

Any other recollections of this - stupid names (and all their toys given to Divine Sales) - what a start!

......Girls over 25 called "Lila" ( or Leila ) or "Grace".......very likely to be premie kids.

Born during Rome Hans Jayanti in 1977 and Rawat talked about it from his throne, and bragged about giving the poor child that ugly name.  Poor girl.  I'm sure she never lived it down in Middle School.  Kids can be so cruel, you know.

I listened to Devendra Banhart's CD, the one with the Lord of the Universe on the cover, and it's highly uneven, I would say.  I recall a few songs weren't bad, but a couple were so awful I had to skip over them.

Devendra, however, seems to look on Rawat and his cult as a kind of curious part of his history.  He's not into it, but doesn't seem to really oppose it either.  I wonder if he is being sued by Stroock, Stroock & Lavin on behalf of Elan Vital for copyright infringement for putting Rawat on his album cover, Krishna outfit and all.

My Dad said: "Grace, that's a lovely name. Did you name her after Princess Grace of Monaco?"

Lovely name, lovely girl.

.......that must be " grace".

" I'm not pretty either but there's no disguise."  ( from your Rawat's "alcoholic eyes" post)

I'd always fantasized that you were honed and bronze.

Bronzed yes, honed no, overweight yes. Too much good living but I get out in the sun a lot.

Funnily enough when we had a big 60's beach reunion a few years back the question that all my old mates had to ask was: "How did you end up with a daughter who looks like this? (she's also fashionable and always immaculately groomed, the very anthesis of me) I one-upped them all by saying "You should see her mother!" which always raised a laugh and a leer. Boys will be boys.
